Job Title: Sr. Quality Engineer – Performance & Automation

Location: Columbus, OH 43215-2561 (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer – Performance & Automation to support enterprise initiatives through a combination of hands-on performance engineering and test automation activities.

This shared resource role will support multiple strategic programs and technology platforms across the enterprise, with an initial emphasis on the Work and Asset Management (WAM) portfolio. The successful candidate will serve as a technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated and performance testing solutions that improve quality, reduce risk, and support successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with both test automation and performance engineering, along with the ability to work directly with delivery teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze results, and implement scalable testing solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years of hands-on test automation development experience using Tricentis Tosca or similar automation tools.
  • 3+ years of hands-on performance testing and analysis experience using NeoLoad or comparable performance testing tools.
  • Experience testing SAP, Salesforce, web, API, integration, and/or cloud-based applications.
  • Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and distributed enterprise applications.
  • Experience designing, executing, and maintaining automated and performance testing assets in Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and communicate performance bottlenecks and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, Salesforce Lightning, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience using Dynatrace or similar application performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience implementing performance testing within Agile and CI/CD delivery models.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects within a shared-services delivery model.
  • Utility industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

<>Performance Engineering
  • Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, scalability, endurance, and volume testing activities.
  • Create and maintain reusable performance test assets and frameworks utilizing NeoLoad and enterprise-standard tooling.
  • Analyze performance results and identify application, infrastructure, database, integration, and cloud performance bottlenecks.
  • Define performance baselines, success criteria, and release readiness recommendations.
  • Support performance testing across SAP, Salesforce, web, API, and cloud-based platforms.
<>Test Automation
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Tricentis Tosca and associated automation technologies.
  • Expand automation coverage across business-critical workflows and regression testing activities.
  • Develop test automation solutions supporting web, API, SAP, Salesforce, and enterprise integrations.
  • Support automation framework enhancements, reporting, and execution optimization.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and continuous testing initiatives.
<>Shared Resource Delivery Support
  • Support multiple enterprise initiatives through hands-on automation and performance testing activities.
  • Partner with project teams to identify automation opportunities, performance testing needs, and delivery risks.
  • Develop reusable testing assets, scripts, and frameworks that improve efficiency across programs.
  • Troubleshoot test execution, application performance, automation, and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to support successful test execution, defect resolution, and release readiness activities.
  • Provide technical guidance related to Tosca, NeoLoad, automation best practices, and performance testing approaches.
