Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Fleet Maintenance Mechanic for a local metal scrap company.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic who can handle everything from light repairs to heavy mechanical work. Candidates with specialized fabrication experience, strong welding skills, and electrical troubleshooting knowledge may earn up to $40/hour.
??? What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, and equipment
• Diagnose and repair light to heavy mechanical issues
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and wiring problems
• Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment repairs as needed
• Inspect equipment to identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension components, hydraulic systems, bearings, and other mechanical parts
• Assist with specialized fabrication and modification projects
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment

? What We're Looking For

• Previous fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, industrial, or automotive mechanical experience
• Experience ranging from light to heavy mechanical repair
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proven welding experience required
• Fabrication experience strongly preferred
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently
• Comfortable working on a variety of trucks, trailers, machinery, and equipment
• Dependable, safety-minded, and mechanically driven

?? Pay Based on Skill Level

Compensation will depend heavily on experience and capabilities.

Highly experienced candidates with specialized fabrication, welding, electrical, and heavy mechanical experience may earn up to $40/hour.
