Job Description

HR & People Manager

London | Hybrid Working (2-3 Days per Week)

PropSource Consulting has partnered with a well-established independent planning and development consultancy to appoint an experienced HR & People Manager .

This is an opportunity to join a successful business of almost 200 people and become a key member of its ambitious HR team. Working closely with the HR Director, you'll help shape a proactive, commercially focused HR & People function while playing an important role in the company's continued growth.

As the operational number two within the team, you'll lead the day-to-day HR function while managing and developing two team members. You'll oversee the full generalist HR remit, from employee relations and recruitment through to performance management, while driving improvements across systems, processes and the wider HR & People function.

Beyond the day-to-day role, you'll have the opportunity to lead several business-critical projects, including a review of the benefits package, succession planning, improvements to people data and reporting as well as the continued evolution of a more proactive HR function.

About You

Your sector background is less important than your technical capability, approach and personality.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has substantial generalist HR experience and strong UK employment law knowledge.
  • Has experience managing or developing others within an HR team.
  • Brings strong recruitment experience and understands how to improve hiring processes.
  • Is confident advising and constructively challenging senior managers.
  • Has a track record of improving HR services, systems and ways of working.
  • Is commercially aware, organised and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Enjoys building strong working relationships across the business and engaging with colleagues at all levels.

This role will suit a proactive, hands-on HR professional who believes in getting the job done and enjoys making a visible impact.

The Culture

Culture is a huge part of this business. Despite its continued growth, it has retained a collaborative, people-first environment. It's the type of place where people roll up their sleeves, support one another and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

You'll join an ambitious team that values initiative, encourages ideas and gives people the autonomy to make a difference. Alongside hybrid working, you'll also enjoy regular social events, an annual ski trip and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing business.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the future of an HR & People function while working alongside an ambitious leadership team, we'd love to hear from you.
