Job Description

Integration Developer

We are working with one of the most renowned institutions in Liverpool looking to expand their Systems Integration team as they establish an API led approach to integrating systems across the organisation.

This is to facilitate a number of far-reaching initiatives as they look to provide scalable connectivity enabling them to reduce costs through automation, streamlined processes and reusable integrations. They have a vision of having one version of the truth trusted by all through data efficiency.

You would work within their Data Services division and be part of a team responsible for the design, build and implementation of new system integrations, as well as the standardisation of existing integrations. This includes designing, develop and implement new standards-based integrations, based on strategic and architectural principles. You will also look to identify any technology innovations and investigate new features and products.

Working with the wider technology teams you will review existing integrations and identify opportunities for standardisation, streamlining and improvement.

You must be an experienced integration specialist, able to evidence in-depth experience of building and managing API based integration services.

This is a 2 year fixed term contract and hybrid / flexible working may be accommodated.

Our client offers a range of exceptional benefits which include around 40 days leave (inclusive of public holidays), a pension scheme of in excess of 20% and a genuine work / life balance. They are also supportive in offering opportunities to upskill.

Key skills and experience required:

Experience in designing, building and supporting application and data integration platforms, using the latest technologies.

Proven experience of using web services/APIs to access and integrate with external and internal systems.

Experience of working with a wide range of data sets and file formats.

Experience of working in a large scale, complex computing environment, including day-to-day operational management of high volumes of projects and service releases.

Experience of analysing and translating business requirements into solution designs that can be understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to develop technical documentation to define and document systems, integration layers, procedures, and processes in a clear, coherent style.

Experience of programming languages, such as SQL, Java, C, and .NET.

They utilise Talend and an API Management Gateway called Gravitee and so experience in these are welcomed
