Technical Lead/Solution Architect (SC & NPPV) - Contract role - Hybrid working - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Technical Lead/Solution Architect to work at a leading consultancy client of ours on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will lead the technical direction of a large-scale transformation programme in partnership with a public sector organisation, working with multidisciplinary teams to design scalable architectures, integrate multiple systems, and establish robust data models that support operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and solution design for complex integration projects.
• Design and implement enterprise data models and information architectures.
• Define and oversee API-based integrations using modern standards and best practices.
• Design automated data ingestion, transformation and migration pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership to development and engineering teams throughout the project life cycle.
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Produce high- and low-level solution designs, technical documentation and architecture artefacts.
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance and quality standards.
• Support technical assurance, design reviews and solution governance.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead, and/or a Solution Architect, Integration Architect or similar senior technical role.
• Strong background in enterprise architecture and systems integration.
• Experience designing complex data models and integrating information from multiple source systems.
• Expertise in API design and integration, including REST and/or GraphQL.
• Strong familiarity with IES or similar enterprise information modelling standards
• Experience delivering automated data transformation, migration or ETL solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and modern architecture principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical teams within complex delivery programmes
• Experience working within highly regulated or secure environments.
• Knowledge of information modelling frameworks or enterprise data standards.
• Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC & NPPV).
