Senior Data Analyst/Report Writer
Austin, TX (Remote/Hybrid)
Experience: 15 Years
Introduction:
The Senior Data Analyst/Report Writer will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytical dashboards in Tableau based on functional specifications. This position will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that analytical dashboard needs are met and will involve cross-training and knowledge transfer to current staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical dashboards in Tableau based on functional specifications
- Interact with Product Owners, stakeholders, and BI/Data Warehouse staff to ensure dashboard needs are assessed, documented, designed, developed, and implemented
- Cross-train and transfer knowledge to current staff
- Analyze requirements and specifications, design, and coordinate the implementation of business intelligence reports and visualizations
- Work with relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and others
- Address and resolve complex technical issues with internal/external customers
- Perform code reviews and analysis
- Adhere to software development lifecycle processes
- Prepare detailed documentation and transition knowledge to current staff
- Present and demonstrate business intelligence reports and visualizations to business customers and managers
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Expertise with Advanced SQL
- Working knowledge of Python
- Ability to work with cross-functional business teams to design reporting solutions
- Ability to translate requirements into advanced database and business intelligence components design
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Qlik, SSRS, Tableau, or other similar Business Intelligence tools
The ideal candidate will have experience with modern BI and Data Warehouse technologies to ensure reports comply with standards and data modeling artifacts are accurate and timely. They must be quality-conscious and dedicated to delivering superior products within budget and on time.
