Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Boeing's Space Mission Systems (SMS) Systems Engineering, Integration & Test Capability, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager (Level L) to join the portfolio of Strategic Space Communication Programs in El Segundo, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team of Ground Systems Engineers and Software Engineers in the design, development, and integration of a Command & Control (C2) software application. You will be a leader of a high-performance systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers and senior technologists. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems engineering and/or software development and be experienced with cost, schedule, and performance responsibilities. You will need to be an open and inclusive leader partnering with other Boeing business functional areas, engineering capabilities, and program leadership. Position Responsibilities: * Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering
* Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures, and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
* Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
* Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
* Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
* Manages, develops, and motivates employees

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
* 8+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role
* Must be willing to work travel domestically up to 10% of the time Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Experience with Agile Development Programs
* Experience with Earned-Value Management Systems (EVMS)
* Experience with Systems Engineering for Ground Applications
* Experience working with USG Customers
