Software Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager / Technical Team Lead (Python/AWS) | Hybrid – West London We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Technical Team Lead with strong Python and AWS expertise to join a growing technology team.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical delivery, architecture, people leadership, and team development. You'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, mentoring developers, and contributing directly to the design and development of scalable cloud-native solutions.

What You'll Be Doing Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Software Engineers<br />Remaining hands-on with architecture, code reviews, and technical delivery<br />Running regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions<br />Driving sprint planning, delivery management, and engineering best practices<br />Providing technical leadership across Python-based applications and services<br />Collaborating closely with Product, Data, and Business stakeholders<br />Supporting and improving production systems, reliability, and scalability<br />Championing software quality, testing, automation, and DevOps practices<br />Helping shape the technical roadmap and future architecture<br />Building and maintaining cloud-native solutions within AWS<br />What We're Looking For 7+ years of software engineering experience<br />3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams<br />Strong hands-on Python development background<br />Experience with frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI<br />Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineers<br />Strong AWS experience and understanding of cloud-native architectures<br />Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems<br />Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies<br />Experience working in Agile environments<br />Exposure to Data Platforms, ETL pipelines, analytics, or data-driven products would be beneficial<br />Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills<br />Tech Stack Python<br />Flask, Django, FastAPI<br />AWS<br />CI/CD Tooling<br />Docker &amp; Kubernetes (desirable)<br />Data Platforms &amp; ETL Pipelines<br />Location Hybrid – Hounslow, West London 2 days per week onsite<br />Flexible hybrid working model<br />Why Join?
