Job Summary
We are seeking a Project / Integration Engineer – Energy Systems to support the vehicle‑level integration of high‑voltage and low‑voltage energy systems. This role will focus on cross‑functional coordination, HV architecture integration, interface alignment, and validation planning to ensure energy subsystems meet program timing, quality, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support integration of Energy Systems subsystems, including HV Battery, BMS, Energy Management, Thermal Systems, Charging, HV/LV Bus, and HV Safety, into the vehicle platform.
- Integrate and align HV component communication interfaces across energy subsystems.
- Identify gaps in system and interface definitions; collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent expectations and interface alignment.
- Own integration of HV components into the HV Bus Architecture, including mechanical and electrical interfaces.
- Develop, maintain, and release HV and supporting LV bus specification documents.
- Own and maintain HV mechanization diagrams and system architecture documentation.
- Apply strong expertise in integrating power electronics (battery packs, DC‑DC converters, inverters, chargers) into the HV bus.
- Coordinate rapid studies, integration activities, and issue resolution across the Energy Systems organization.
- Support and manage weekly Energy Systems kickoff meetings, including agenda preparation and follow‑ups.
- Collaborate with Functional Safety and HV Safety teams to define validation and compliance test plans.
- Participate in DFMEA reviews, cross‑functional engineering discussions, and vehicle launch support.
- Adapt to changing work packages and program priorities throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in automotive systems or energy systems integration.
- Hands‑on experience with HV systems, including batteries, BMS, charging, or power electronics.
- Knowledge of HV/LV electrical architectures and vehicle integration.
- Experience with CAN-based communication and interface troubleshooting.
- Exposure to DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation processes.
- Strong cross‑functional communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Novi, MI.
