Role: SAP SD Consultant

Work Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Consultant with strong expertise in ATP (Available-to-Promise) to support SAP Sales & Distribution processes, order management, and supply availability. The candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting SAP SD processes with a strong focus on sales order availability checks, ATP, delivery processing, and integration with MM, PP, and WM/EWM.

Typical Experience Level

12–15 years of SAP SD experience, with significant hands-on experience in ATP/availability checking and order management.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and support SAP SD processes including:

Customer master and business partner

Sales order management

Pricing and condition techniques

Delivery and shipping

Billing and invoicing

Returns and credit/debit processes

Configure and maintain ATP / Availability Check functionality in SAP.

Define and troubleshoot:

Checking groups

Checking rules

Scope of availability check

Requirements classes and requirements types

Transfer of requirements

Schedule lines

Availability checks during sales order creation/change

Work with sales order confirmation and material availability scenarios.

Analyze ATP issues such as:

Incorrect confirmed quantities

Missing confirmations

Partial confirmations

Rescheduling issues

Stock/requirement inconsistencies

Incorrect availability dates

Support backorder processing and order prioritization.

Integrate ATP with MM, PP, WM/EWM, and production planning processes.

Work with material stock, reservations, purchase orders, production orders, and planned orders that influence availability.

Support delivery creation, picking, goods issue, and billing processes.

Analyze and resolve production issues using SAP debugging, configuration analysis, and functional troubleshooting.

Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP SD/ATP solutions.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in SAP SD.

Good understanding of ATP / Availability Check functionality.

Experience with Sales Order → ATP Check → Confirmation → Delivery → PGI → Billing processes.

Strong knowledge of:

Sales order processing

Schedule lines

Requirements and transfer of requirements

Delivery processing

Shipping

Pricing

Billing

Credit management

Understanding of integration between SAP SD and MM/PP.

Experience troubleshooting ATP and order-confirmation issues.

Knowledge of SAP tables, transactions, and debugging concepts is desirable.

Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA is preferred.

Preferred ATP Experience

Candidates with experience in S/4HANA Advanced ATP (aATP) are highly preferred. Knowledge of areas such as:

Product Availability Check

Backorder Processing (BOP)

Alternative-Based Confirmation

Product Allocation

Supply Protection

Release for Delivery

Rescheduling is an advantage.
