Senior Network Engineer - NSX - Defence
Contract - 6 Months - fully onsite
Based in Yeovil (3-5 days) compressed hours available
DV Clearance is required for this role

Recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering secure, mission-critical technology solutions within the UK defence sector.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, implement and support VMware NSX-T and software-defined networking solutions across highly secure environments, while providing technical leadership to project teams.

Experience includes:
* Strong experience with VMware NSX-T (or equivalent network virtualisation platforms)
* Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, VLANs, QoS and Cisco networking
* Experience with software-defined networking, micro-segmentation and secure network
architectures
* Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, network monitoring and virtualised environments
* Previous experience delivering within secure, enterprise or defence environments
* Ability to mentor engineers and own technical delivery

It would be an added advantage if you had any of the following:
* VMware NSX certification
* VCF, vSphere or vSAN experience
* Automation (Ansible, Terraform, APIs)
* AWS/Azure networking
