Position Overview

CARIAN is seeking a Corporate Real Estate Analyst (Power BI) to support corporate real estate operations, financial and operational processes, data analysis, and reporting.

This role will provide analytical and operational support across real estate tax administration, invoice processing, financial tracking, reporting, and related corporate real estate activities. The analyst will work with large datasets, develop Power BI dashboards and reports, and help identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and AI-enabled tools.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite in Newark, New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and maintain real estate tax data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.

· Coordinate quarterly real estate tax processing, including payment administration, tracking, and reconciliation.

· Support real estate tax appeals by organizing documentation, maintaining appeal status records, and coordinating follow-up activities.

· Provide operational support across corporate real estate functions, including invoice processing, charge validation, and payment tracking.

· Track, analyze, and report financial and operational data related to real estate activities, taxes, vendors, and payments.

· Work with large datasets to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support data-driven decision-making.

· Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to improve visibility into tax, financial, and operational metrics.

· Prepare recurring and ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal stakeholders.

· Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring processes using AI tools, scripts, workflow improvements, and other available technologies.

· Support improvements to data quality, reporting processes, and operational workflows.

· Collaborate across functional teams to ensure accurate information, clear communication, and timely execution of real estate activities.

· Maintain organized records, supporting documentation, and reporting files.

· Support additional corporate real estate analysis and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Real Estate, or a related field.

· 1–4 years of experience in corporate real estate, financial or business analysis, accounting, facilities operations, property management, or another data-focused business environment.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large datasets, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation.

· Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Power BI.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.

· Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve workflows, optimize data processes, or automate routine tasks.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functional areas.

Preferred Experience

· Experience supporting corporate real estate operations.

· Familiarity with real estate taxes, tax payments, tax appeals, or related processes.

· Experience with invoice processing, financial reconciliation, or vendor payment tracking.

· Experience working with large financial or operational datasets.

· Experience developing process improvements or automated workflows.

· Experience within the utility, energy, infrastructure, or another regulated industry.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $65,000–$90,000 annually. This range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, skills, and other factors permitted by law.

In addition to base salary, the role includes eligibility for bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and a company 401(k) match.
