Security Application Architect - Security Cleared

SATIGO is supporting a major UK public sector organisation in the search for an experienced Security Application Architect to join a long-term Digital Delivery programme. This is an excellent opportunity to shape security architecture across multiple critical digital services, embedding Secure by Design principles and improving cyber resilience across enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) assessments across multiple digital services.
• Perform application threat modelling using STRIDE.
• Embed Secure by Design practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Develop and enhance Secure Configuration standards and policies.
• Support security verification and validation activities, including:
  • Penetration Testing
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Security assurance
• Improve vulnerability management processes and remediation governance.
• Review and enhance security monitoring, logging, SIEM integration and operational security capabilities.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, security assessments and governance reports.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Development Managers and technical delivery teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance or ability to get clerance
• Proven experience as a Security Architect or Application Security Architect.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
  • Secure by Design
  • Secure SDLC
  • STRIDE Threat Modelling
  • OWASP
• Experience designing security controls for cloud and enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security assurance.
• Experience supporting penetration testing and remediation activities.
• Knowledge of SIEM, security monitoring and incident detection.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.
