Job Description

The key purpose of this role is to be a key member of the Giving Team, involved in all aspects of the administration, processing, reconciliation and reporting of the c.£20m / annum donations to the HTB Group (comprising of HTB, St. Paul’s Theological College and the Revitalisation Trust), by providing gift processing support to the team made up of a Giving Coordinator, Fundraising Database and Systems Specialist, Giving Team Leader and a Processing and Giving Manager.

Applications for this role will close on Sunday 6th September. The salary for this position is £27,000.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate donor records and process gifts, Gift Aid declarations, and database updates in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ensure donors are thanked promptly through timely reporting, acknowledgements, and thank you communications.
  • Collect, count, process, bank, and report cash, cheque, card, and online donations with a high level of accuracy.
  • Support donor enquiries and respond to giving-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with reconciliations and produce regular giving reports for finance and management teams.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the team by delivering routine tasks, resolving straightforward issues, and supporting colleagues with ad hoc requests.

The following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role:

  • Numerate with a natural administrative ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering etc.)
  • Experience working in a busy professional office environment
  • Good degree of organisation
  • Self-sufficiency and initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Good English language and writing skills
  • Discretion - understanding the need to keep donor information confidential
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
