Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Intermediate-level Architect or Architectural Designer to be based in our Melbourne office. In this role you will contribute across the full project lifecycle - from attending client meetings and assisting with the development and management of project briefs and scope requirements, through to the preparation and coordination of architectural documentation packages including concept design, design development and contract documentation for tender and construction. You will also have opportunities to support and mentor junior team members while working closely with senior architects to deliver high quality project outcomes. As projects move into construction, you will be involved in site meetings, reviewing contractor submissions and RFIs, and helping resolve design and construction issues to support successful project delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring a tertiary qualification, such as a Master's degree in Architecture (registration preferred), and a minimum of 5+ years' experience. You will have experience contributing to architectural projects within multidisciplinary teams and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. You will also bring experience coordinating inputs from other consultants and contributing to projects through both design and documentation phases. You will be passionate about architecture, committed to delivering high quality outcomes, and comfortable working independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.

Key attributes and skills include:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an interest in report writing.
  • Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Knowledge of construction technology, building detailing, and application of the National Construction Code.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or delegating tasks to junior team members.
  • Passion for career development, design excellence and client service excellence.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for clients and project teams.
  • Positive, collaborative and tenacious attitude, with the ability to make things happen and contribute to a strong team culture.
What We Offer
  • Flexibility & Wellbeing: Flexible working options, dedicated leave for wellbeing and community engagement.
  • Belonging & Ownership: Diverse and inclusive team, opportunities for shareholder involvement.
  • Parental Leave: Up to 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave, inclusive of all genders.
  • Career Growth & Development: Ongoing learning opportunities, professional development and support from experienced architects.
