Job Description

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex networking challenges, working close to the operating system and network stack, and building highly performant backend services using modern systems programming languages.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable network infrastructure components.
  • Build high-performance backend services using C/C++, Go, and/or Rust.
  • Develop networking features that support secure remote connectivity and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Optimize system performance, latency, throughput, and reliability across distributed environments.
  • Work closely with Infrastructure, Platform, DevOps, and SRE teams to improve deployment, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Design resilient distributed systems capable of operating at enterprise scale.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking, distributed systems, and production performance issues.
  • Improve system reliability through automation, monitoring, testing, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
  • Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
  • Continuously improve software quality through testing, automation, and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming expertise in C/C++.
  • Professional experience with Go and/or Rust.
  • Deep understanding of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, routing, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and distributed networking concepts.
  • Experience building highly available distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems programming and networking internals.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment environments.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and scalable architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building networking or security products.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture or secure access technologies.
  • Experience with VPNs, proxies, gateways, reverse proxies, or network tunneling technologies.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, service discovery, and high-performance networking.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
