Head of Supply ChainConcurrent | ColchesterThe OpportunityPure Resourcing has been exclusively retained to appoint a Head of Supply Chain for Concurrent.This is a high-impact leadership role at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth, offering the opportunity to shape and mature a developing supply chain function within a highly technical, fast-moving environment.Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, resilience and long-term capability across supply chain operations — ensuring the business can deliver today while building for tomorrow. This is not a role where everything is already in place. It is an opportunity to build, evolve and embed scalable ways of working that will support continued growth and operational excellence. The RoleThe Head of Supply Chain will take ownership of both the strategic direction and operational delivery of the function — leading from the front while developing the capability of the wider business.This role requires someone who can balance hands-on problem solving with long-term transformation, bringing structure, clarity and alignment across the organisation. Key areas of focus will include:
- Owning and improving production planning and scheduling to support a dynamic environment
- Driving procurement excellence and strengthening supplier strategy
- Building capability within the function through structured, scalable processes
- Leading cross-functional alignment across Sales, Engineering, PMO and Operations
- Supporting the development of ERP and planning infrastructure, including Business Central
- Embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain team
- Is equally comfortable shaping strategy and delivering it hands-on
- Brings structure and clarity to complex or developing environments
- Has experience implementing process improvements, systems or new ways of working
- Has a strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, ideally with exposure to system development or implementation
- Can demonstrate delivery within high-mix, low-volume, fast-paced environments
- Shape and evolve a critical function at a key stage of growth
- Implement processes and systems that will define future ways of working
- Operate at leadership level, influencing the wider strategic direction of the business
- Deliver both immediate operational impact and long-term transformation
