Information Security Officer

£65,000 p/a - 2 days per week from London office

Our Not-for-profit client have an immediate requirement for an Information Security Officer to join on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to be the primary security representative between the business, technology, security and resilience, while having awareness of a broad set of information, cyber security and resilience controls and how they can reduce the causes of harm to colleagues, customers, brand, and reputation.

The role supports the bridging into the fields of risk management, regulatory compliance, and security, and will develop relationships with all group entities and external suppliers to ensure risks are appropriately managed.

Key experience required for the Information Security Officer

• Experience in working and collaborating with different business units across an organisation.
• The capability to identify and communicate how cyber security vulnerabilities and threats impact business services and activities.
• Knowledge of implementing, providing governance and oversight of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST CSF, NCSC CAF or Cyber Essentials.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in deploying security awareness and human risk platforms, tailoring awareness for frontline colleagues, managers, senior leaders and high-risk roles.
• Coaching, advising and encouraging positive security behaviours across different business areas.
• Have worked as an Information Security Officer or equivalent cyber security based role within a Not-for-profit or public sector environment
