Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer available for your next contract?

We are recruiting for a skilled contractor to support operations within a fast-paced, highly automated distribution environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation, working on modern equipment within a critical logistics setting.

As a Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair across automated distribution equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving faults on conveyors, control panels, and associated systems.
Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximise uptime.
Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns in a time-critical environment.
Working with PLC-controlled systems, including basic fault finding and interrogation.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades.
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations.
Accurately logging maintenance activities and work orders using internal systems.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Qualified in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Strong background in electrical maintenance within an industrial, FMCG, or distribution environment.
Experience working with automated systems such as conveyors.
Ability to fault find on PLC systems (e.g. Siemens or Allen Bradley).
Proven experience in both reactive and planned maintenance.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Not Essential):

Previous experience within logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments.
Knowledge of SCADA or warehouse management systems.
Experience with drives, inverters, and sensors.

This role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern covering days, afternoons, and nights.
