The Role
• Contribute to renewal modelling projects, developing and deploying service offerings in collaboration with research teams and academic partners.
• Quantify catastrophe risk using vendor and proprietary models to assess client portfolio exposure.
• Evaluate and refine the firm's view of risk, ensuring clients have accurate and up-to-date information.
• Engage with clients, partners, brokers, and actuaries on model interpretation, portfolio management, and custom analytical projects.
• Support wider analytics services by collaborating with other business units on larger projects.
• Analyze model updates and their impact, as well as conduct post-event reporting and analysis of natural disasters.
What You'll Need
• A degree or equivalent experience in a numerate or hazard-related subject.
• Prior experience in the (re)insurance market and catastrophe risk analysis using main vendor models is desirable.
• Understanding of the (re)insurance business, including reinsurance structures and their application.
• Ability to lead analytics relationships with clients effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in SQL and other coding languages (e.g., Python, R) is desirable.
• Spanish-speaking ability is highly beneficial.
