Software Engineer

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform triage and technical investigation of software defects identified during V&V execution.
• Conduct root cause analysis utilizing expert knowledge of Panther and Panther Fusion software architecture and historical design decisions.
• Review software requirements, architecture, design documentation, and defect data to identify likely fault sources.
• Provide technical recommendations, corrective action options, and risk assessments to the permanent engineering team.
• Accelerate defect investigation timelines by supplying legacy product and design-history context not readily available within the current organization.
• Partner with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, and V&V teams during issue analysis and technical reviews.
• Support compliance considerations related to regulated medical device software development practices.
• Document findings and recommendations to facilitate efficient handoff to permanent engineering teams.
