Subject Matter Expert - Program Implementation
Location:Remote
Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Program Implementation to support VFMP modernization by aligning strategic goals with practical implementation decisions across governance, process design, and operational readiness. This role bridges modernization strategy and execution by shaping implementation approaches that consider partners, suppliers/providers, organizational design, and integrated business/IT initiatives.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide implementation leadership and advisory support across VFMP modernization initiatives.
Support definition/refinement of operating models, governance touchpoints, and implementation roadmaps.
Translate strategic objectives into implementable plans, sequencing, and decision points.
Identify organizational and operational impacts; support readiness planning and mitigation actions.
Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions; document decisions, assumptions, and action items.
Contribute to executive briefings, implementation plans, and recommendations to inform Government decision-making.
Required Skills:
Strong program implementation expertise across people/process/technology dimensions.
Excellent facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in healthcare operations, benefits administration, or claims/eligibility programs.
Familiarity with VA/VHA operational environments preferred
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
8+ years relevant experience preferred
