Job Description

Role: Year 2 Teacher

Start Date: January 2025

Permanent / Full Time

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education: A degree in Primary Education or a relevant field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Certification as a qualified teacher in the UK.

Professional Experience

  • Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching at the primary level, preferably with a focus on Key Stage 1 (Year 2).
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England, particularly for Key Stage 1.

Skills and Abilities

  • Classroom Management: Effective strategies for managing classroom behavior and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Lesson Planning: Ability to design engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning needs and styles.
  • Assessment: Competence in assessing student progress and using data to inform instruction.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom.
