Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced System Administrator Level 3 to lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of on premises and cloud based enterprise systems. This role provides advanced support for Windows and Linux platforms, AWS cloud resources, system automation frameworks, and security related services. The SA 3 is responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting, performance tuning, system capacity planning, and escalation support to agency leadership. Candidates must bring strong expertise across AWS, Windows Server, Linux administration, automation tools, and enterprise security tooling while operating in a high security environment. Key Responsibilities Windows & Linux System Administration
• Administer and support Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Authorities, and Windows 10/11 clients.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (RHEL 8/9, Amazon Linux 2023) across AWS environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating system software and network components.
• Implement OS level enhancements to improve system stability, performance, and security. AWS Cloud Administration
• Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS cloud environments using EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other core services.
• Support hybrid environments integrating AWS cloud resources with on premises infrastructure.
• Perform system monitoring, capacity analysis, and optimization across cloud workloads. Automation & Configuration Management
• Develop and maintain automation using SaltStack, Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Streamline provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Maintain consistent system configurations and automation workflows across environments. Enterprise Security Operations
• Deploy, configure, and maintain McAfee/Trellix agents and ePO servers.
• Manage Tenable Nessus agents, BigFix, and vulnerability reporting tools.
• Track, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across Windows, Linux, and AWS environments.
• Ensure systems remain compliant with security standards and agency policies. Tier 1 & Tier 2 Support
• Provide initial Help Desk support for problem identification and user assistance.
• Provide Tier 2 escalation and resolution for complex system, application, and hardware issues.
• Deliver detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets to agency management.
• Support dispatch systems and remain engaged through resolution. Operations, Troubleshooting & Architecture Support
• Provide day to day support and monitoring for client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, OS interactions, cloud resources, and software integration.
• Support the design of systems, mission architectures, and associated infrastructure.
• Maintain an understanding of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Required Qualifications • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must already be held)
• IAT Level II (Security+ CE, GSEC, CySA+, CCNA Security, or GICSP)
• 15 years of System Administration experience supporting similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• Five additional years of System Administration experience may substitute for the degree Preferred Skills:
• AWS cloud administration (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM)
• Linux (RHEL 8/9, Amazon Linux 2023)
• Windows Server 2019/2022, AD, DNS, Certificate Authorities

• Vulnerability remediation and enterprise security tools (Trellix, Nessus, BigFix)
