We're supporting a leading organisation on the appointment of several AI specialists who combine exceptional technical capability with genuine Healthcare & Life Sciences experience. This is not a role for someone who has delivered the occasional AI project for an NHS Trust or pharmaceutical company-we're looking for professionals whose careers have been built within the healthcare sector.

Whether your experience comes from the NHS, private healthcare, health technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices or life sciences, you'll understand the complexity of clinical and patient data, regulatory requirements, governance, and how AI can be deployed responsibly to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and clinical decision-making.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive commercial experience delivering AI solutions within Healthcare & Life Sciences.

• A career built predominantly across healthcare providers, health technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices or life sciences organisations.

• Hands-on experience designing and delivering production AI and Generative AI solutions.

• Strong Python and modern AI framework experience.

• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, orchestration frameworks and enterprise AI platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.

• A strong understanding of healthcare regulation, governance, security, privacy and ethical AI.

• Experience working with sensitive clinical, patient or research data.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and non-technical teams.

You'll likely have experience with:

• Agentic AI

• Generative AI

• Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama or similar)

• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)

• AI architecture and enterprise integration

• MLOps and production deployment

• Responsible AI and model governance

• Enterprise data platforms

• Clinical, operational or research AI applications

However, your understanding of Healthcare & Life Sciences matters even more.

We're specifically looking for professionals who understand the regulatory landscape, clinical workflows, patient safety considerations and operational challenges unique to Healthcare & Life Sciences, and who have repeatedly delivered AI solutions within that environment.

Permanent and contract opportunities are available, with highly competitive salary packages and day rates depending on experience.
