Mainframe Platform Migration Analyst

Seeking a Migration Support Analyst to support a large-scale Mainframe-to-Cloud modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for providing application and operational support for legacy COBOL workloads being migrated from the mainframe to Linux-based environments hosted in AWS.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Linux administration experience, including Red Hat and SUSE environments, with expertise in command-line support, patching, upgrades, and software deployments. Candidates should also have experience administering Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus), which hosts COBOL applications on Linux, as well as familiarity with Rocket Enterprise Developer.

This position requires a strong understanding of supporting Linux workloads in AWS and the ability to troubleshoot issues across legacy and modernized environments. Experience with DB2, Teradata, and prior mainframe lift-and-shift migration projects is highly preferred. Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, and control cards will be beneficial when supporting applications throughout the migration lifecycle.
