Job Description

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Lead with strong expertise in embedded firmware development for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++, software design, debugging, root cause analysis, and the complete software development lifecycle within a regulated medical device environment.

 

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Embedded Software/Firmware Development
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++
  • Experience with Qt application development
  • Strong understanding of Software Design and Software Architecture
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Knowledge of Build & Release processes and Makefiles
  • Strong debugging and Root Cause Analysis skills
  • Experience implementing change requests and resolving software defects
  • Hands-on experience in the Medical Device domain
  • Familiarity with software lifecycle documentation and applicable medical device standards
  • Ability to understand and work with existing source code
  • Experience collaborating with customer engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance embedded firmware for medical devices.
  • Analyze customer requirements and implement software solutions.
  • Understand, maintain, and enhance existing embedded software code.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Implement change requests and resolve software defects.
  • Prepare and maintain software design and lifecycle documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and customer teams.
  • Provide technical updates, demonstrations, and project progress reports.
  • Ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance with applicable medical device standards.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience developing embedded software for regulated medical device products is highly preferred.
