Job Description
About Bellwood
Bellwood builds custom software for businesses too complex to run on off-the-shelf tools. Our mission is to be, and be known as, the most trusted partner to build and scale software products.
We serve two markets: mid-market firms whose businesses have outgrown their current tools, and enterprise firms who need skilled engineering partners they can trust with delivery of critical systems.
Our 30-person team is US/Canada based, with deep roots in Atlanta, and has been recognized with both Inc. 5000 and Clutch 100 honors. We are scaling to 70+ FTE over the next 24 months, and marketing is central to building the inbound engine that fuels that growth.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to run Bellwood's marketing programs. You will own execution end to end - producing content, running marketing channels, paid ads, and optimizing the website to convert marketing activity into qualified pipeline.
Marketing at Bellwood directly supports revenue generation, and spans Content, Review Sites, SEO/GEO, paid media, and website optimization. You will implement tactics across all of them, measure what works, and report results.
You will report to our Head of Revenue and own the day-to-day marketing function and the outcomes it produces. Our 2026 theme is “Aligned to Scale,” and this role is how our go-to-market motion gets executed consistently, week over week.
Primary Responsibilities
Content & Publishing
Produce, edit, and publish blog and pillar content against the SEO cluster strategy.
Run the publishing calendar in priority order, shipping the highest-leverage pieces first and keeping content moving.
Write in Bellwood's brand voice (caring, committed, curious) across every piece.
Create supporting graphics for blog posts, social distribution, and paid media using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express, maintaining brand consistency in color, type, and layout.
SEO, Web & Listings
Own technical and on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, H1 structure, schema markup, sitemap coverage, and internal linking.
Make site changes in WordPress, including landing pages, copy updates, CTAs, and design-element edits, with a staging-and-review step before publishing live.
Build and optimize key conversion pages, including the project-start page and the diagnostic-audit landing page.
Manage business listings and local/GEO presence to strengthen discoverability.
Monitor organic performance and continuously improve pages for search and conversion.
Paid Media & Demand Generation
Run paid programs across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and other channels within budget.
Build, launch, and optimize campaigns targeted to Bellwood's ideal customer profiles.
Track and report cost-per-click and cost-per-qualified-lead by channel, and shift spend toward what performs.
Partner with the Head of Revenue on quarterly budget recalibration based on lead economics.
Measurement & Reporting
Maintain marketing performance reporting
Report results in revenue terms: qualified leads generated and pipeline influenced.
Surface what is working and what is not, proactively and on a regular cadence.
Keep marketing activity connected to the CRM and marketing automation platform (HubSpot) so lead flow stays clean.
Events & Brand
Support conference and event presence: logistics, follow-up, and lead capture.
Execute brand-awareness efforts across local events and LinkedIn.
Keep Bellwood's external presence consistent, professional, and on-message.
What You’ll Bring
Required Experience
4–7 years in B2B marketing execution, ideally in a technology/software-services environment.
Performance-marketing orientation: you measure your work by leads, pipeline, and revenue generated.
Full-stack generalist: hands-on experience executing across content, SEO, paid media, and web.
Hands-on SEO competence: you execute technical and on-page SEO yourself or knowingly direct it.
Core Competencies
Ownership: you are committed to the outcome.
Proactive communication: status, results, and roadblocks are communicated regularly and quickly.
Analytical rigor: comfortable with metrics, dashboards, and attribution, with data-driven decision making to allocate effort and budget.
Execution discipline: you work priorities in order, ship consistently, and keep multiple workstreams moving.
Brand sensibility: you produce and edit content that reads in Bellwood's voice and serves the target buyer.
Working knowledge of: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, WordPress and other marketing technologies with the ability to independently manage them from a marketing operations perspective. Comfortable making and managing site changes in WordPress.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
Pipeline & Demand
Qualified inbound leads (MQLs) and marketing-sourced discovery calls trending decisively up against 2026-27 targets.
Cost-per-qualified-lead tracked and improved per channel.
Priority content (pillar page, cost guide, vendor-evaluation pieces) published and ranking.
Execution & Reliability
Content calendar shipped consistently and in priority order.
Key conversion pages built and converting; technical SEO foundation in place.
Paid program live, measured, and optimized against lead economics.
Marketing runs reliably with strategic, rather than tactical, oversight from the Head of Revenue.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Head of Revenue.
Partners with: CEO (brand voice and select content), Engineering and delivery leads (client wins and project content), and Sales (pipeline alignment and lead handoff).
Team: an individual-contributor role; you own the marketing function's execution directly.
Compensation & Details
Location: Remote (distributed team; occasional travel for retreats and events).
Type: full-time.
Compensation: Compensation at Bellwood is determined by several factors, including job scope, title, and relevant experience. We offer competitive, market‑aligned pay supported by comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000, with a performance bonus of 10–15% tied to MQL and pipeline‑generation targets. This bonus structure reflects the role’s direct impact on lead quality and revenue‑driving activities. Total estimated on‑target earnings (OTE) fall between $95,000 and $125,000.
Benefits Include:
