SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Quality Engineer to develop, maintain, and implement a reusable approach to BTP Test Automation. You will analyze requirements and procedures, create and execute test cases, build automation scripts, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on BTP services - all while collaborating cross-functionally with development and product teams.

? Critical Requirements

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a reusable BTP Test Automation framework and approach
• Coach and mentor others on the adoption of BTP Test Automation technologies and techniques
• Analyze and understand BTP testing procedures and requirements
• Develop and execute BTP test plans, test cases, and automation scripts, including manual testing when required
• Identify, document, and follow up on bugs and quality issues, utilizing logging, monitoring, and other tools to provide upstream visibility
• Regularly revisit BTP test cases and strategy to incorporate the latest product functionality across rapid release cycles
• Report on and document BTP testing status and results
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the use and troubleshooting of BTP services

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Test Automation
• 5+ years of experience with Java or related programming languages
• 5+ years of experience with test management systems
• 3+ years of experience in cloud platform testing
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Strong knowledge of software testing, programming languages, and quality assurance principles

? Desired Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years of experience developing and/or operating multiple BTP extensions and services from the technical side
• 3+ years of experience using Playwright with Java
• 1+ year of experience working with LLMs and building agents to integrate with development workflows
• Experience working in an Agile DevOps environment
• Experience operating in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with automated reporting
• Experience with ServiceNow including building queries, automation flows, and dashboards

This role operates from a third-party perspective and requires strong soft skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
