Who you'll be working with

We're working with a leading technology and national security organisation that delivers complex digital, data and intelligence solutions across the UK public sector.

  • Working with cloud services to host data infrastructure and manage data storage.

  • Collaborating with data architects, scientists, analysts and other engineers to deliver data solutions.

  • Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and solve business problems.

  • Applying best practices across data management, orchestration, security and data modelling.

  • For more senior candidates, providing technical leadership, leading design sessions and helping shape data engineering platforms and delivery approaches.

What we're looking for
  • Experience in data engineering, with opportunities available across mid and senior levels.

  • Strong technical skills in SQL and Python, or similar programming languages.

  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.

  • Understanding of data modelling, data management and orchestration.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and data infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, CI/CD or DataOps practices.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different teams.

For senior-level positions, experience leading technical delivery, guiding engineering teams and contributing to solution design will also be important.

What's in it for you?
  • Salary of up to £72,000, depending on experience.

  • Company bonus scheme.

  • 25 days' annual leave, with options to buy, sell and carry over leave.

  • Competitive pension scheme.

  • Private medical and dental insurance.

  • Flexible working arrangements, with three days per week in the London office.

  • Ongoing career development and opportunities to broaden your experience across data engineering, architecture and strategy.

  • The chance to contribute to complex projects supporting national security and government customers.
