Description Position Overview

Buttrose Earthmovers is seeking an organised and motivated MaintenancePlanner / Workshop Administrator to join our growing team based at Direk, SouthAustralia.

This role is responsible for coordinating workshop maintenanceactivities, supporting workshop operations, and ensuring our fleet ofearthmoving equipment is maintained to the highest operational and safetystandards. Working closely with the Plant Manager, mechanics, and operationalteams, you will play a key role in keeping our projects running efficiently andminimising equipment downtime.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledgeand strong administration and planning skills who is looking to build along-term career within the civil and earthmoving industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily workflow and scheduling for workshop personnel in consultation withthe Plant Manager.
  • Plan and schedule preventative maintenance for earthmoving plant and equipment.
  • Forward plan upcoming machinery servicing and maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor daily machine prestarts and defect reports through CPinsite.
  • Prioritise repair works and communicate maintenance requirements to workshop staff.
  • Raise, manage, and close work orders for maintenance and defect repairs.
  • Order parts and consumables for planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of commonly used workshop parts and supplies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, mechanics, operators, and supervisors regarding maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure workshop activities comply with company policies, site requirements, andsafety procedures.
  • Assist in improving maintenance systems and workshop efficiencies.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Maintenance Planner, WorkshopAdministrator, or similar role within the earthmoving, construction, transport, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Sound understanding of heavy earthmoving equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to use maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes.
