What youll be doing Create 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks. Design and develop new products and improve existing designs for performance, cost and manufacturability. Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and efficient to produce. Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical queries and design changes. Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, quality requirements and health & safety procedures. What were looking for Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer / SolidWorks Design Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings, 3D). Creative ability Good understanding of manufacturing processes, wide range of materials, understanding of machining, fabrication and assembly. Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. HND, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Desirable: Experience with PDM systems, design for manufacture (DFM).
