Robert Half is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong insurance technology background to lead a focused assessment of TurboRater and identified alternative solutions. This position is best for a candidate who has extensive experience in an insurance industry and has worked with insurnace rating software. Apply today!

Location: Hybrid preferred, Remote ok
Schedule: Monday - Friday - Core Hours, 9-3pm PST
Key Responsibilities

• Review existing business discovery and requirements documentation to understand objectives, validate key findings, and identify any material gaps.
• Lead the evaluation of TurboRater and identified alternative insurance technology solutions.
• Assess options against business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, integration needs, data considerations, operational requirements, and technical constraints.
• Analyze solution capabilities, trade-offs, risks, and implementation considerations to support informed decision-making.
• Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, technology teams, and vendors to gather insights and evaluate potential solutions.
• Develop a structured assessment, including a comparison of viable options and a well-supported recommendation for future solution direction.
• Establish and manage an independent work plan, track actions and dependencies, and provide regular stakeholder updates throughout the engagement.
• Apply a repeatable approach to solution discovery and technology assessment that can be leveraged for future evaluation initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong insurance industry experience, ideally involving insurance rating, quoting, comparative rating, or related insurance technology.
• Familiarity with insurance technology platforms, vendors, and the broader solution landscape, including the ability to evaluate alternatives to TurboRater.
• Demonstrated experience leading early-stage solution discovery, options analysis, technology evaluations, and product assessments through to recommendations.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, system integrations, data flows, enterprise technology standards, and operational considerations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex options and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively across business, architecture, technology, and vendor teams.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive an engagement forward without dedicated project management support.
• Experience developing structured work plans, managing dependencies, tracking progress, and communicating updates to stakeholders.

Desired Experience

• Previous experience evaluating insurance rating platforms or comparable insurance technology solutions.
• Experience leading vendor assessments, product comparisons, and architecture options analysis.
• Ability to establish a repeatable framework for evaluating technology solutions across an organization.
