Sr. ServiceNow Developer

Control

Chicago, IL - hybrid

A Senior ServiceNow Developer builds, configures, and manages advanced applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform to meet enterprise business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Write server-side and client-side scripts using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, and Script Includes.
  • Integrations: Connect ServiceNow with outside tools using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Workflow Automation: Build and improve automated processes using Flow Designer and workflow engines.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide junior developers, review code, and set best practices for platform scalability.
  • Requirements Analysis: Partner with business stakeholders to turn functional needs into technical designs.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 6+ years of total software development, with at least 3 years focused strictly on ServiceNow.
  • Technical Skills: Strong command of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow Update Sets.
  • Module Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ITSM (IT Service Management), ITOM, or CSM (Customer Service Management).
  • Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) are highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
