Mid Level DevOps Engineer / Hybrid onsite in Alexandria VA

This opportunity is with a mission-driven, veteran-owned software organization headquartered in Alexandria, looking for someone who can come onsite 3x a week. They are focused on modern cloud infrastructure and automation using Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Argo CD, and Python.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on technology that directly impacts emergency preparedness and disaster response. The organization is seeking candidates who are passionate about learning, collaboration, and building scalable DevOps practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python preferred)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPCs, load balancing, etc.)
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite in Alexandria, VA)
• Eligibility to obtain or transfer a government clearance

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Argo CD or GitOps methodologies
• Exposure to secure, compliant cloud environments (GovCloud, IL environments, etc.)
• Previous work supporting government, defense, or public sector initiatives
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)
• Experience integrating with Microsoft 365, Teams, or enterprise collaboration tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated growth mindset
• Active DoD clearance or credential (highly preferred)
