Infrastructure Engineer with AWS

Job Summary:
We are seeking Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineers to play a key role in a large-scale cloud modernization and platform engineering initiative within a healthcare environment.

This role requires deep expertise in enterprise AWS architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container platforms, along with the ability to influence cloud strategy, governance, and engineering standards across the organization.

You will act as a technical leader, driving the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and production-grade cloud infrastructure while mentoring teams on modern cloud-native practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise AWS architecture across a multi-account environment
• Design and implement cloud governance frameworks using:
• AWS Control Tower
• AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Customizations for AWS Control Tower (CfCT)
• Serve as the Terraform SME, defining and enforcing Infrastructure as Code standards
• Build and manage production-grade infrastructure using:
• Terraform
• AWS CDK (TypeScript)
• AWS CloudFormation
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning and deployments
• Design, implement, and support container platforms using AWS EKS and/or ECS
• Architect and support hybrid cloud networking, including:
• AWS Transit Gateway
• Direct Connect
• Route 53
• VPC design and networking strategies
• Guide application teams in cloud-native and containerized deployments
• Conduct code reviews, mentoring, and cloud adoption workshops
• Establish documentation, governance processes, and operational standards

Required Skills & Experience:

• Core AWS & Architecture
• Strong experience owning and managing enterprise-scale AWS environments
• Expertise in multi-account AWS architecture and governance
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS Control Tower
• AWS Well-Architected Framework
• CfCT (Customizations for AWS Control Tower)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Deep hands-on expertise with:
• Terraform (must-have)
• AWS CDK
• AWS CloudFormation
• Proven experience building scalable, reusable, and secure infrastructure through code
• Programming / Scripting
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Good understanding of:
• JavaScript ecosystem
• Package managers (npm, pnpm, yarn)
• Build tools, linting, and bundling
• Container & Platform Engineering
• Experience designing and managing container platforms using:
• AWS EKS and/or ECS
• DevOps & Automation
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Strong focus on automation of cloud provisioning and deployments

Additional Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in:
• Infrastructure Engineering / Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering
• Strong experience in enterprise AWS architecture ownership
• Ability to lead, mentor, and influence engineering teams
• Experience working in large-scale cloud transformation initiatives
