Telematics Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Telematics Software Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and maintain software solutions for vehicle telematics systems. The role involves working with embedded systems, vehicle communication protocols, cloud connectivity, and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for vehicle telematics and connected-vehicle systems.
• Develop applications for collecting, processing, and transmitting vehicle data.
• Work with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, UDS, and J1939.
• Integrate telematics devices with cloud platforms and backend services.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and support data communication between vehicle, device, and cloud systems.
• Debug and troubleshoot software, connectivity, and communication issues.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing.
• Analyze logs and vehicle data to identify software or communication problems.
• Collaborate with embedded, firmware, cloud, QA, and automotive engineering teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Support software releases and production issue resolution.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Java.
• Good understanding of CAN/CAN FD and automotive communication protocols.
• Experience with APIs, networking, and cloud connectivity.
• Familiarity with Linux and software debugging tools.
• Understanding of software development and testing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
