Assignment: F-35 Systems Administrator located in Eglin A.F.B., Florida, in support of training operations benefiting the U.S. Air Force. The Systems Administrator will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F-35 training system devices, with a long-term assignment to Eglin A.F.B., FL. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications, as well as setting up and monitoring training computer networks.

He/she will perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and training tasks to ensure the training computer network meets system requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives and will have experience working in an environment that requires interaction with multiple functional areas and personnel with different backgrounds and expertise.

Key Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to)

  • Interacting daily with users and LM leadership.
  • System/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring.
  • Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier 2, and engineers.
  • Laptop re-imaging, troubleshooting, and account maintenance.
  • Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance.
  • Training IT administrators and users on the academic training systems as needed.
  • Scheduling and leading installations, modifications, and maintenance of training systems.
  • Supporting and coordinating verification and validation of installations and modifications to systems.
  • Acquiring and submitting metrics for review, documenting system anomalies, and forwarding relevant data to appropriate organizations for analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborating with other organizations to improve operational performance and configuring systems to operate within approved guidelines.
  • Interfacing directly with customers and personnel to resolve "break/fix" issues, establish approved access to resources, and ensure system services are available to support daily academic operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all approved procedures and guidelines and supporting respective audits

Basic Qualifications • Bachelors Degree • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance or higher with final clearance adjudication within the last six years and be able to qualify and hold a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. • Completed DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA). • 3-5 Years IT experience of any combination in system/database/network/mission planning-administration. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Proven experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Must be capable of working multiple shifts, including some weekends, to execute critical maintenance and troubleshooting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.

Desired Skills • Experience working with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers is preferred. • Ability to brief and teach technical information to both internal and external audiences. • Ability to lead and mentor other team members. • Previous experience working with the Finnish Air Force as a customer is desirable. • Experience Troubleshooting Applications. • Account Maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM. • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases and network equipment. • Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware). • Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components. • Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates. • Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator. • Importing/Exporting large data volumes. • Knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems ( Server 2019, Office, Win 10, etc.) • Previous experience working with the Finnish Air Force as a customer is desirable.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $94400.00 - $175200.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.   • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
