Job Description

About the Role

Brigade Group is one of India's leading real estate developers, with a diversified portfolio across residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality. Manager - Family Office supports the promoter family on personal finance, investments, and tax alongside the listed business.

The Manager will play a setup role for the function - building the MIS, bookkeeping review, investment tracking, and processes the family will rely on. Hands-on, close to the promoters, and best suited to someone who has done this before.

Key Responsibilities

1. MIS, Cashflow & Reporting

  • Three-tier MIS - individual members, entity, consolidated group
  • Cashflow projections and cash planning for the investment entity
  • Periodic review packs, dashboards, and net-worth statements for the family

2. Bookkeeping Review & Audit

  • Review layer over bookkeeping across LLPs, private companies, trusts, and personal accounts
  • Monthly and quarterly closing, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting
  • Interface with statutory, tax, and internal auditors; clean and timely closure
  • Migration from Tally to mProfit; automation of Tally workflows
  • AI tools to simplify routine workflows - bank statements, reconciliations, and similar

3. Tax & Compliance

  • Tax notices tracked to timely closure across members and entities
  • Review of opinions from internal and external tax consultants before action
  • Coordination of IT, GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, and SEBI promoter / insider-trading filings
  • Support on capital gains, dividend, and trust-level tax planning

4. Investment Oversight & Portfolio Management

  • Single source of truth across listed equities, MFs, fixed income, AIFs, PMS, PE, real estate, and alternatives
  • Performance, IRRs, and asset allocation tracked through clear dashboards
  • Independent perspective on the existing portfolio and on new opportunities
  • Market movements monitored; timely calls flagged on entry, exit, and rebalancing
  • Corporate actions, capital calls, distributions, redemptions, maturities, and rollovers monitored

5. Networking, Sourcing & Wealth Manager Interface

  • Relationships with wealth managers at banks and similar institutions, fund houses, and brokers - engaged with diplomacy, credibility, and discretion
  • Active presence in the family-office and investment ecosystem to read the pulse of the market
  • New investment opportunities sourced and evaluated across asset classes
  • Support to the family in drafting and refreshing an investment policy

6. Documentation & Controls

  • Documentation for all family assets - financial and physical - including agreements, title papers, loan papers, and KYC
  • Documentation for FEMA and SEBI promoter / insider-trading disclosures, in coordination with the listed-company team
  • Estate planning and succession-related documentation as required
  • Processes, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms strengthened over time

7. Strategic Support

  • Financial models and scenario analyses for MD-level decisions
  • Independent point of view in reviews with the family and external advisors
  • Special projects and new ventures from the Family Office

What We're Looking For

  • CA preferred with 6-8 years post-qualification; CFA or MBA a positive
  • Prior family office, founder's office, or similar setup experience - built the function before, not only run it once established
  • Strong fundamentals in bookkeeping, consolidation, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of investment products across asset classes; AIFs, PMS, PE, and real estate a strong plus
  • Exposure to direct and indirect tax, FEMA, and SEBI promoter / insider-trading disclosures
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented; very comfortable in Excel and Tally; open to mProfit and AI-led workflows
  • Sees the big picture and the details
  • Holds their own and engages with conviction in discussions with family members and senior advisors
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information

What We Offer

  • Close working relationship with the MD and the promoter family
  • Setup role with long horizon, ownership, and room to shape the function
  • Discreet, professional environment within one of India's leading real estate groups
