Job Description

Product Manager (SFIA 5)

£450 per day | Inside IR35 | Predominantly Remote

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (SFIA 5) to join a high-profile public sector programme, driving the delivery of digital products and services that support large-scale transformation initiatives.

Contract Details

  • Role: Product Manager (SFIA 5)
  • Rate: Up to £450 per day
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to Leeds (typically once per sprint)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial contract with potential extension
  • Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product development within an agile delivery environment.
  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Work closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and users to maximise product value.
  • Manage and prioritise product backlogs based on business and user needs.
  • Use data, user research, and feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Ensure alignment between product objectives and wider programme goals.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience operating as a Product Manager at SFIA Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and digital product delivery.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships across complex organisations.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on product management.
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience delivering products within government, public sector, or HMRC environments.
  • Experience working on large-scale digital transformation programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager with active SC clearance to contribute to a significant public sector programme while benefiting from a largely remote working arrangement.

We are also looking for more junior level Product Managers at a lower rate for similar roles.

To apply, please submit your CV detailing relevant Product Management and public sector experience.
