Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and advanced Terraform development. In this role, you will eliminate manual infrastructure provisioning by engineering reusable, secure-by-default IaC patterns within a highly regulated healthcare ecosystem (Health100). You will partner across platform, network, security, and application teams to deliver policy-driven cloud automation that is highly scalable and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and version reusable enterprise Terraform modules for Google Cloud Platform networking (VPCs, PSC, DNS), GKE, Cloud SQL, and IAM. 
  • Policy as Code & Governance: Enforce security guardrails and compliance using automated validation tooling (e.g., OPA, Checkov, or Sentinel). 
  • Pipeline Delivery: Build and maintain CI/CD-driven infrastructure deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions with strict approval gates.
  • Collaboration & Modernization: Convert existing manual cloud deployment steps into automated, self-service workflows triggered via pull requests and Jira.
  • Operational Excellence: Troubleshoot complex Terraform state conflicts, pipeline permission gaps, and private connectivity/service dependencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in cloud automation/infrastructure engineering; 5+ years of hands-on, advanced Terraform development.
  • Cloud Platform: 4+ years of dedicated experience automating Google Cloud Platform enterprise infrastructure.
  • Pipelines & Automation: Proven track record running IaC through GitOps/CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and testing.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in highly regulated industries (Healthcare/HIPAA or Financial Services).
  • Experience with specialized IaC orchestration tools (e.g., Atlantis or Terraform Cloud).
  • Familiarity with GKE infrastructure dependencies, Istio service mesh, and enterprise database networking (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka).
  • Relevant certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
