AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15th and 16th. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.
The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM is seeking an Architectural Design Intern to be based in Bloomfield, NJ or New York, NY.
This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027 or as discussed.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
- Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Open Buildings and other computer applications.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Bloomfield, NJ or New York, NY. The selected candidate must be available to work in Bloomfield, NJ or New York, NY on a scheduled basis.
