Partner Marketing Events Specialist (B2B Conferences & Sponsorships)

Pay: $145–$160/hour W2
Duration:
9-Month Contract 
Location: Hybrid – San Francisco, CA (2 days/week onsite – Monday & Wednesday preferred; additional onsite presence required during event weeks)


About the Opportunity

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading AI technology company to hire a Partner Marketing Events Specialist for a high-impact 9-month contract supporting a world-class Events & Experiential Marketing team.

This is an opportunity to own the operational execution behind some of the technology industry''s most visible partner conferences and sponsorships. You''ll play a key role in delivering large-scale enterprise events by managing sponsorship fulfillment, exhibitor operations, vendor partnerships, booth logistics, and on-site execution for premier industry conferences.

This role is ideal for an experienced B2B events professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex logistical challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional event experiences from planning through execution.


Must-Have Experience

To be considered, candidates should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, conference operations, tradeshow marketing, sponsorship marketing, or partner events.
  • Direct experience supporting Tier 1 enterprise technology conferences, such as AWS re, Microsoft Ignite, Google Cloud Next, Dreamforce, RSA Conference, CES, or similar large-scale events.
  • Experience managing large conference booth activations (30x30+ preferred) from planning through on-site execution.
  • Hands-on experience managing exhibitor portals, sponsorship deliverables, booth logistics, vendor coordination, freight logistics, and show services.
  • Experience building staffing plans, run-of-show documentation, and supporting on-site event execution.
  • Ability to travel domestically and work onsite during conference weeks.

Please note: This role requires recent, hands-on experience executing large-scale B2B technology conferences. Candidates with primarily corporate meeting planning, hospitality, wedding, or consumer event backgrounds are unlikely to be a fit.



What You''ll Do

Execute Conference Sponsorships & Partner Activations

  • Support end-to-end sponsorship execution for major enterprise technology conferences and partner activations.
  • Manage exhibitor portals, sponsorship deliverables, asset submissions, contractual obligations, and critical event deadlines.
  • Coordinate booth logistics including exhibit builds, graphics, AV, furniture, internet, electrical, labor, and teardown.
  • Support speaking engagements by coordinating submissions, presentation deadlines, rehearsals, and technical requirements.
  • Assist with partner co-marketing activations and scalable event resources.


Manage Vendors & Event Logistics

  • Coordinate exhibit houses, AV vendors, labor teams, freight providers, and production partners.
  • Manage domestic and international shipping logistics for booth materials, demo equipment, and promotional assets.
  • Track budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor deliverables in partnership with Procurement and Finance.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and help maintain preferred vendor relationships.


Support On-Site Event Execution

  • Build staffing schedules, booth coverage plans, and demo rotations for event teams of 40+ people.
  • Coordinate executive meetings, customer meetings, and hospitality logistics during conferences.
  • Provide hands-on operational support throughout setup, live event execution, and teardown.
  • Support lead capture systems and coordinate daily lead reporting with Marketing Operations.


Drive Operational Excellence

  • Maintain sponsorship tracking tools and event documentation.
  • Compile post-event reporting including leads, meetings, budget performance, and recommendations.
  • Create repeatable playbooks, checklists, and process improvements that help scale future event execution.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, conference marketing, sponsorship marketing, or trade show operations.
  • Proven success executing sponsorship programs for major enterprise technology conferences.
  • Experience managing exhibit houses, AV vendors, labor providers, freight partners, and production vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of exhibitor portals, sponsorship fulfillment, conference logistics, and show service ordering.
  • Experience creating run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and event timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent events with immovable deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within SaaS, AI, cloud computing, enterprise software, or technology organizations.
  • Experience using Salesforce and conference lead capture platforms.
  • Familiarity with procurement or contract management tools such as Zip, Ironclad, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting international conferences and freight logistics.
  • Background in partner marketing, field marketing, or co-marketing programs.

Additional Details

  • Hybrid: San Francisco, CA (2 days/week onsite; Monday and Wednesday preferred)

  • PST business hours required.
  • 9-month W2 contract (leave coverage).
  • Four-round interview process.
