Telecommunications Solutions Coordinator
Position Summary
The Telecommunications Solutions Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise-level telecommunications, network, voice, mobility, audiovisual, and infrastructure projects across multiple facilities. This role oversees project execution, vendor coordination, technology modernization initiatives, infrastructure planning, and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of scalable technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing telecommunications and infrastructure projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, working with technology vendors, and supporting enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Planning & Project Delivery
- Plan, coordinate, and manage telecommunications, network, infrastructure, and voice modernization projects.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and implementation strategies.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalations.
- Coordinate project activities across facilities, business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, dashboards, and updates to leadership.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Infrastructure Modernization
- Develop and support infrastructure upgrade roadmaps and technology refresh initiatives, including:
- Voice Services (VoIP/HVS)
- Data Networks
- Wireless Infrastructure
- Fiber Optics and Structured Cabling
- Public Address Systems
- HVAC Monitoring Systems
- Fire Alarm Infrastructure
- Cisco Endpoint Refresh Programs
- Coordinate implementation of emerging technologies and infrastructure enhancements.
- Support modernization efforts to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Telecommunications & Voice Services
- Support VoIP/HVS transformation and voice modernization initiatives.
- Develop implementation plans for voice platform upgrades and migrations.
- Coordinate site assessments, inventory validation, equipment staging, deployment, and migration activities.
- Ensure smooth transition from legacy voice systems to modern telecommunications solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve implementation challenges.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Build and maintain relationships with telecommunications carriers, technology vendors, and service providers.
- Coordinate vendor deliverables, project schedules, and contractual commitments.
- Participate in technology evaluations, solution reviews, and vendor selection processes.
- Monitor vendor performance, service levels, and contract obligations.
- Facilitate communication between vendors, internal teams, and leadership.
Asset & Infrastructure Governance
- Manage infrastructure inventory tracking, reconciliation, and documentation activities.
- Ensure technology assets are accurately maintained within Asset Management systems.
- Support equipment lifecycle management, refresh planning, and replacement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of infrastructure changes, deployments, and upgrades.
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Support enterprise-wide infrastructure and technology initiatives.
- Coordinate network integration projects and cross-functional technology deployments.
- Assist with strategic planning, operational improvements, and modernization programs.
- Support organizational technology goals through effective project coordination and execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing telecommunications, network, infrastructure, or technology projects.
- Experience leading enterprise technology implementations, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong experience with vendor management, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- VoIP / Voice Services
- Cisco Technologies
- Networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
- Wireless Technologies
- Enterprise Infrastructure
- Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IT infrastructure project management and technology roadmaps.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with asset management tools and inventory reconciliation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
