Working under the direction of the Manager, Internal Communications, the Digital Product Lead contributes to product roadmap development, backlog management and delivery coordination. The role balances short-term delivery needs with longer-term improvement initiatives, ensuring digital services are reliable, accessible, and continuously improved through evidence-based decision-making.

The position works closely with multidisciplinary teams including developers, designers, analysts and operational stakeholders to deliver integrated and high-quality digital experiences.

Whatwe'relooking for(Selection Criteria)

You'resomeone who:

  • Identifies and responds to customer requirements. You use understanding of the customers' context to tailor services and ensure outcomes are delivered, effectively managing risks to service delivery.
  • Understands the clients or stakeholders' context to design and implement systems for continuous improvement within team or organisation. You review and analyse internal and external information to improve effectiveness and quality of work.
  • Integrates improved capabilities into service delivery processes. You assume the role of solution architect or project manager where there's a balanced focus between technology focus and strategy focus.
  • Understands associated costs of operations and seek efficient ways of operating. Where external vendors are involved, ensure good understanding on engagement terms and hold parties involved accountable in delivering against agreement.
  • Manages small to medium-sized projects independently, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Designs initiatives that leverage digital technologies and ensure compliance with emerging legislative trends.
  • Considers data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis. You can generate statistics and reporting, leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts.

Qualifications and experience

You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in digital communications, product/project management or equivalent experience (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience (5 years+) managing digital products in complex organisations (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience managing Agile roadmaps, backlogs and multidisciplinary delivery teams (desirable).
  • Proven ability to communicate product vision and influence senior stakeholders (mandatory).
  • Experience delivering multi-channel digital services and system integrations (desirable).
  • Experience writing stories and functional requirements (desirable).
