Business Development Manager - Commercial Lighting & Integrated Lighting Solutions

For commercial lighting, SolutionMall supports requirement clarification, product matching, RFQ follow-up, supplier communication and quotation coordination.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Commercial Lighting & Integrated Lighting Solutions to develop customers, channels and project opportunities in the lighting sector.

This role is suitable for professionals with experience in B2B sales, LED lighting, electrical products, building projects, lighting distributors, contractor channels, RFQs or project-based solution sales.

The main focus is to identify lighting needs, build customer relationships, promote suitable products and solutions, support RFQs and quotations, and expand lighting project opportunities.

Product and Solution Scope

Indoor lighting: office, school, hospital, hotel, retail, mall, factory, warehouse, exhibition hall and conference room lighting; LED panels, downlights, spotlights, linear lights, track lights and high-bay lights.

Outdoor and architectural lighting: street lights, solar street lights, floodlights, wall washer lights, façade lighting, landscape lighting, lawn lights, garden lights, parking lot lighting and public-area lighting.

Industrial and special-purpose lighting: explosion-proof lights, tunnel lights, emergency lights, exit signs, warning lights, signal lights, waterproof, dustproof and corrosion-resistant lights.

Stage and visual-effect lighting: stage lights, theater and auditorium lighting, moving head lights, laser projection lights, event lighting and DMX-controlled lighting systems.

Smart lighting and accessories: dimming systems, sensors, DALI, 0-10V, DMX, IoT lighting control, LED drivers, power supplies, poles, brackets and installation accessories.

Key Responsibilities

Develop customers and channel partners for commercial lighting and integrated lighting solutions.

Build relationships with lighting distributors, electrical distributors, contractors, consultants, engineering companies, project owners, facility managers and procurement teams.

Promote SolutionMall lighting solutions for indoor, outdoor, industrial, architectural, municipal, stage and special-purpose applications.

Follow up customer requirements, lighting schedules, specifications, RFQs, quotations, budgets and delivery plans.

Support product selection and solution matching for offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, malls, warehouses, factories, roads, parks, tunnels, façades, auditoriums and public spaces.

Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, customers and project stakeholders for technical confirmation, quotation preparation and project follow-up.

Collect market feedback on demand, popular products, pricing, competitors, channels, customer preferences and project opportunities.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial lighting, LED lighting, indoor lighting, outdoor lighting, industrial lighting, street lighting, architectural lighting, stage lighting, explosion-proof lighting, smart lighting control, electrical products, distributor development, contractor channels, RFQ follow-up, quotation coordination or project-based B2B sales.

Ability to understand customer needs, lighting scenarios, product selection, project specifications and RFQ requirements.

Good communication skills and the ability to develop customers, distributors, contractors, consultants, project owners and procurement teams.

Experience with lighting projects, electrical systems, construction projects, energy-saving upgrades or project procurement is preferred.

English communication ability is an advantage. Additional language skills are welcomed.

Preferred Qualifications

Existing customer or channel resources in commercial lighting, electrical products, construction projects or facility projects.

Experience with lighting projects for offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, malls, factories, warehouses, roads, parks, tunnels, façades, auditoriums or public infrastructure.
