Technical Pricing Analyst

London (Hybrid) | £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading global specialty insurer that is investing heavily in its pricing, data, and analytics capabilities. As part of this growth, the business is looking to hire a Technical Pricing Analyst to support the development and enhancement of its pricing systems and models.

This role sits at the intersection of actuarial pricing and technology, offering the opportunity to work closely with pricing actuaries, underwriters, data teams, and developers to deliver innovative pricing solutions that directly influence underwriting performance.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based pricing models and tools.
  • Translate actuarial and pricing requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.
  • Work with large datasets using Python and SQL to support pricing and analytics initiatives.
  • Support pricing system integrations, automation, testing, and model deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with pricing actuaries, underwriters, data teams, and other key stakeholders across the business.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in pricing technology, governance, and development standards.


Requirements

  • Strong Python programming experience.
  • SQL and data manipulation skills.
  • Experience within insurance, actuarial, pricing, or financial modelling environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with Git or software development best practices is advantageous.
  • 2+ years experience in the London Non-Life Insurance Market


Desirable Experience

  • Experience with hx Renew is highly advantageous, as it is a key pricing platform used extensively for model development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Candidates with experience developing pricing tools, actuarial models, or insurance platforms will also be considered.
