Network Protection Technician / Substation Commissioning Technician | Kassel, Germany | Hybrid This employer is a highly respected force in the energy infrastructure sector, playing a critical role in advancing the energy transition across Northern Germany. The Role • Oversee the commissioning of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substation projects, including new builds and modernization efforts. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Conduct precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment. • Contribute to the successful implementation of renewable energy projects, including wind and solar farms. • Collaborate effectively with project leadership, planning, and installation teams. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven expertise in protection/control technology and independent commissioning of switchgear. • Familiarity with communication standards such as IEC 60870-5-101/103/104. • Experience with Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and OMICRON TestUniverse software is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making and communication skills, including fluent German. • Possess a valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel regularly (typically Monday-Thursday).
