W2 only. No C2C. No third-party or agency submissions. This is a hybrid role based in Roseville, not a remote role. Must be currently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Overview

Integration Architects is a boutique IT consulting firm in Roseville, Minnesota, founded in 2000. We build and maintain custom software for private-sector clients and for state and local government agencies, courts, and criminal justice organizations.

We are hiring our first dedicated IT Support Technician. You will be the frontline for the organizations that depend on the software we build and you will handle day-to-day IT for a growing set of managed support clients.

Two things make this different from a typical help desk seat.

You support applications, not just laptops. Several of our clients run systems we designed and maintain. When a user hits a problem, you take the call, reproduce the issue, determine whether it is a training question, a data question, a configuration question, or a real defect, and either resolve it or hand our developers a clean, documented ticket. Filtering well is most of the value in this role.

This is also the ground floor of a service line we are building. Managed IT and device services are a growing part of our business, with anchor clients already providing a steady base of work. We will train you on Microsoft cloud administration and pay for your certifications. If you are good, this does not stay a tier one support job.

Responsibilities

End user support and device management

  • Frontline support for a growing fleet of client-issued laptops and for internal staff
  • Device lifecycle: ordering, imaging, deployment, shipping and receiving, warranty claims, refresh, secure wipe and disposal
  • User onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, license assignment, access removal, and device recovery
  • Windows, networking, printing, and application troubleshooting, remote and hands-on

Application support

  • First contact for user questions across six or more client applications we build and maintain
  • Reproduce reported problems, gather logs and evidence, and resolve issues that do not require code changes
  • Escalate confirmed defects to the development team with clear, reproducible documentation
  • Identify recurring issues that indicate a design or training problem

Microsoft cloud administration (training provided)

You do not need to walk in with these. You do need to want to learn them, and we pay for the training and exams.

  • Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, licensing
  • Microsoft Entra ID: users, groups, MFA, conditional access
  • Microsoft Intune: enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment
  • RMM administration (Atera): patching, monitoring, endpoint health

Documentation and process

  • Build and maintain runbooks, onboarding checklists, and knowledge base articles
  • Maintain asset inventory and environment documentation
  • Track and report ticket volume, response time, and resolution time

Required qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years in help desk, desktop support, or internal IT, with hands-on device work rather than phone-only triage. Internship, campus IT work, or relevant coursework counts toward this
  • Strong Windows troubleshooting skills, including the ability to work an unfamiliar problem without a script
  • Clear written communication. A large part of this role is turning a user''s description of a problem into something a developer can act on
  • Patience working with non-technical users, including volunteers and board members
  • Reliable attendance and follow-through. You will often be the only support person available
  • Able to work on-site in Roseville 3 to 4 days per week and handle physical hardware. Hardware work, user setup, and client visits are not remote tasks

Preferred qualifications

  • Any exposure to Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, or Intune, including homelab or certification study
  • CompTIA A+, or progress toward MS-900 or MD-102
  • Experience with any RMM or ticketing platform
  • Basic SQL, enough to run a SELECT and verify what a user is seeing
  • Experience supporting line-of-business applications rather than only commodity software

What we offer

  • $25/hour, W2, with pay reviewed as you take on more responsibility
  • Employer-paid certification training and exam fees
  • Health coverage, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off
  • Direct access to company leadership. You will work with the owner weekly
  • Hybrid schedule with 1 to 2 remote days per week, depending on deployment and client needs
  • Real growth path from help desk into managed services and cloud administration

Why this role

At a larger company, a support role means one narrow slice of one system and a script to follow. Here you will stand up a client environment from scratch, work alongside the people writing the code, and see a bug you reported get fixed and shipped in the same week. There is no queue you disappear into.

We are being straight about the starting rate. It reflects that we expect to train you on a significant portion of this work. In exchange we pay for your certifications and give you real administrative responsibility as you earn it.

Driving and physical requirements

Reliable transportation and a valid driver''s license are required for occasional client visits in the Twin Cities metro. The role involves regularly handling and transporting laptops and related equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Work authorization

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Integration Architects does not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Background check

Because some of our clients operate in court and child welfare settings, this position is subject to a criminal background check conducted after an interview or following a conditional offer of employment. Consistent with Minnesota law, we do not ask about criminal history before that point.

Equal employment opportunity

Integration Architects, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, familial status, disability, public assistance status, age, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

How to apply

Submit your resume along with a few sentences describing a support problem you solved that nobody else could figure out. Applications without that note will not be reviewed.
