Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer

MTSI is seeking a Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer to support customers at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The program provides systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.

Responsibilities:

• Self starter to performs tasks with minimal guidance up to the level of leading the execution of complex tasks.
• Learning/demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise.
• Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan and design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Applies beginning systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Initial analysis, design, development, implementation, testing and evaluation of software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military systems, associated support systems.

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards a degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university. Additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience in Systems Engineering with Model-Based Engineering/digital Engineering applications and technology is required.
• IT related certifications preferred
• Must have minimum of minimum of four (4) years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering/Digital Engineering applications and technology.
• Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator is preferred
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and able to obtain a TS

The pay range for this position is $95,000/year to $125,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
